The Stubborn God

Back in primary school, we had a very stubborn teacher. Mr. MAN, as we fondly called him using the initials of his names, would never let you off the hook until you got the math problem right.

The number of takes didn’t matter, only a red correct tick would satisfy him.

So much like God.

The good Teacher is always on our case until we ace the tests that life brings our way. He does not let up until we get the lessons out of the different situations He brings our way.

Ooh, what a great act of love and mercy!

If God let up, none of us would be standing today.

We are a stubborn people. Well, you know you are.

It’s the stubbornness of God in not giving up on us that keeps us going.

Left to our own devices, many of us would not be believers today.

This is the thing though.

As much as God does not give up on us, He will not promote you to the next level spiritually until you pass the test(s) at your current level.

So, focus on getting the lessons quickly and acing the tests on take one. Retakes rob us of time and energy we could have used to grow in Christlikeness

When the challenges of life come, ascertain quickly what lesson God Has for you in it. Then prayerfully apply it.

If you do so, you will be promoted to the next level and avoid the frustration of retaking the test.

Are the same or similar tests coming your way over and over?

That could be an indicator you are failing God’s tests and He is sending you retakes.

Break the cycle.

Pass the tests and advance to the next levels.

Learn the most out of the current test and use the experience to pass future tests.

Don’t be that Christian who is always sitting supplementary exams. It will only stagger you and slow down your spiritual growth.

Passing tests on the first attempt and advancing to the next level is evidence of maturity.

The good thing is that God’s tests are open book.

As you enter the exam room of life, be sure to studiously refer to your Bible.

With all the tips and instructions contained therein, you will be well-equipped to face the tests and nail them first round.

I wish you all the best in your forthcoming test!
